I recommend defeating the final bosses again and watching the credit roll without being afk. In my preference, Velvet and Laphicet went on the journey you see in the epilogue - thanks to Maotelus' powers. On the surface its a sad ending, but deep below, it may not be - depending on how you prefer to interpret it. This means you could see this ending in several different ways. Even should Innominat be awakened, will be in far too weak a state to even content with Laphicet, who could already fight him before his transformation in the first place. This means that them both being sealed would only have importance when they both have their powers, when Maotelus took over, that became completely irrelevant. This means that the slideshow you see during the credits is like an epilogue of what may happen. Velvet would no longer have her Therion powers, as was implied when you saw the other Therions reverting back. Or he may be reverted back to the previous form used for his summoning - laphicet.

Innominat would be literally replaced by Maotelus and may just fade, or die. So this will likely cause an eventual separation. This all would prevent Innominat from being able to feed on her to gain strength, and she wouldn't need to feed on him either, as it may remove her Therion abilities. She may still be a demon in Rokuro's position - having a demon hand, but a human heart, but may no longer be a Therion. Things get a little vague here because Velvet had no despair, no malevolence after the flames of purification would have penetrated the temple. Second, he used the flames of purification on the entire planet, purifying everyone. The first is that since he is a new empyreon transformed from Laphicet, by nature he is likely more powerful than Innominat was at his defeat (hungry). When Laphicet (I'm sorry, I mean MAOTELUS) became the Empyreon to replace Innominat, there are several things to consider. I was pretty sad about this myself, but you gotta think about it, do a double take.
